When the first two Australia-bound Porsche sports cars arrived in Melbourne in 1951, company founder Ferdinand Porsche could not have imagined the legacy his creations would have on the country’s automotive landscape. To celebrate Porsche‘s 75-year Australian journey, Porsche Cars Australia has chosen four models from its range and combined them with famous elements of the country‘s vast natural landscape.
Unveiled at this year’s Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, each Porsche in this unique collection – a Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, a Macan 4S, a Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and a Cayenne S – takes its styling and configuration inspiration from iconic settings found in Australia’s north, south, east and west.

GO NORTH: Panamera 4 E-Hybrid
Australia’s tropical north was the inspiration for this special Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid.
This stunning green sports sedan reflects the deep-green beauty of Australia’s top end, specifically the rainforests of Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Paint to Sample Emerald Green Metallic mimics the fresh, lush vegetation found in the dense foliage of Queensland’s Daintree Rainforest, the world’s oldest surviving tropical rainforest, and the Northern Territory’s World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park.
The 21-inch Panamera Exclusive Design wheels resemble the structure found in the Daintree’s famous Fan Palms.
The Club leather interior in Espresso reflects the rich earth underneath the lush greenery of Australia’s tropical north, and the interior package in Eucalyptus wood is a nod to the Darwin Stringybark trees in the region‘s surrounds.
The Neodyme-finished wheels and matching Neodyme interior accent package hint at the gold sunsets that gradually disappear across the top end’s horizon every evening.
The rich green exterior is echoed inside with Night Green accents for items such as seat belts and stitching. Their different tones represent the changing shades of green within Australia’s tropical north, especially between the seasons.

Along with these Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur details, various Porsche Sonderwunsch (‘special request’ personalisation) touches abound in this GO NORTH Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. They include ‘75 Years of Porsche in Australia’ bespoke vehicle keys (with key cases) painted to match the exterior, bespoke interior floor mats embossed with ‘75 Years of Porsche in Australia’, as well as bespoke door sill guards in brushed Aluminium in Black customised with ‘GO NORTH’ & Panamera logo illuminated in green.
This special Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is also fitted with the Porsche Performance Roof box from the Porsche Tequipment accessories range, making it the ideal long-distance travel partner.
Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid
The all-wheel drive Panamera 4 E-Hybrid luxury sports sedan is an ideal choice to tour the wide open roads of Australia’s north.
The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid delivers up to 346 kW of power and 650 Nm of torque thanks to its 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine combined with a 140 kW electric motor mounted between the rear of the engine and the 8-speed PDK gearbox, which sends drive to all four wheels.
The Porsche E-Performance system in the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid comprises plug-in hybrid technology that includes a 25.9 kWh (gross) lithium-ion HV battery integrated into the rear of the car. There are four optimised E-Hybrid-specific drive modes that optimise energy efficiency, along with Sport and Sport Plus modes.
An electrical top speed of 140 km/h (on a closed road or circuit) confirms the ability to run silently on National Highway 1 from northern Queensland to the Stuart Highway for the drive up to Darwin, and a 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 4.1 seconds means reaching the outback’s speed limit is quick and comfortable, thanks also to the Panamera’s Porsche Adaptive Air suspension.
